The Buddy Walk® kicks off Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October and promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. Nearly 300 walks around the world raise money to benefit local and national service and advocacy programs.
In Connecticut, we support and educate new parents of babies with Down syndrome through our First Call program, we help fund medical clinics at St. Raphael’s and the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and we educate about best practices in education, medicine and therapeutic intervention.
