Third-party Fundraisers are events or activities sponsored by individuals or organizations other than the Down Syndrome Association of Connecticut (DS ACT).
We are grateful that you want to support the DS ACT mission, and we welcome, encourage, and appreciate fundraising events and projects that benefit our programs and services.
As a 501 (c)(3) organization, however, DS ACT has a fiduciary responsibility to ensure our name is used properly, funds are handled and accounted for appropriately, and fundraising is conducted in a manner that is consistent with our mission and values.
Therefore, all fundraising events for DS ACT require permission in advance. Please do not make public announcements or promote the event until an authorized representative of DS ACT approves it in writing. Fundraising events must comply with all local, state, and federal laws.
