Volunteering with DS ACT is a rewarding experience in so many ways.
It takes a lot of hands, much time, and many talents to change the world. For you, that means hands-on experience in everything from modeling skills for an individual with Down syndrome to challenging stereotypes as a public speaker.
For the people in our community -- those with Down syndrome, their families, and their supporters -- it means information and personal connection when they need it most, and hope for a brighter future.
How the Application Process Works
Follow the application instructions in the position description below, or click the button to add your name to our database. We will follow up with you via a questionnaire and arrange a phone interview to discuss further. If you like what you hear, you'll sign a waiver form, and we'll put you to work (some positions may require a background check).
If you are inquiring on behalf of a group (a corporate service or affinity group, a civic organization, etc.), please include your organization's name and details of the kind of experience you are looking for in your answer to the last question about why you want to volunteer.
